really enjoyed the podcast. I commented on the last podcast that it was hard to hear your suprise "guest", and I was very pleased to see that this was changed for this week.
As always, really liked the podcast. You mentioned getting "bumped off track" by the off-center baseball business stuff in Moneyball, and wondered if other "experts" had the same reaction. I couldn't fully enjoy "The Social Network" (which everyone else loved) because, as a litigator, I found EVERY scene about the lawyers/lawsuit absolutely ridiculous - not even remotely close to how things really would have gone in that situation, and it completely messed up the movie for me.

Good podcast. One thing I don't get is the view the well ran dry in the minors because of the lower spots in the draft order due to the Twins success. With the ability to restock with international signings, I just don't see why it HAS to run dry.

About the backup catcher for 2012: Any chance Ivan Rodriguez signs with the Twins? He was a teammate of Carl Pavano on the 2003 Florida Marlins, and the Twins drafted his son, Dereck, in the 6th round of the 2011 draft. Ivan is still pretty good defensively, despite his age (he turns 40 on Nov. 27).

Also, has Drew Butera ever thought about becoming a pitcher? For someone who doesn't hit well, but throws hard, it seems like a reasonable option.
