“Gleeman and The Geek” #36: Bad Starts and New Beginnings

This week's episode of "Gleeman and The Geek" was recorded at Wild Boar in Hopkins and our beer of choice was Summer Shandy (plus a Scotch). Topics included the Twins' ugly start, our big announcement, why spring training suddenly means nothing, Miguel Sano's power, what the rotation looks like if everyone gets healthy, remembering the 2002 team that started us blogging, looking ahead to a rough schedule, and how close we should be to the panic button.

  1. Summer Shandy? Gross. I warned a friend about that vile stuff during a summer game at Comerica Park. He didn’t heed my warning, and later told me that I was right.

  2. Summer Shandy is for chicks. Hey, how about a write up on the Twins terrible start?

  4. Given Adam’s comment and Aaron’s tweet, I guess I am curious about what beers besides Summer Shandy are for women (or chicks). Bud light? Coors light?

  5. Summer Shandy is sometimes the only Lienie’s offering in liquor/grocery stores where I live out east, which is unfortunate.

I try to explain how great Creamy Dark is, but no one believes that the same company could produce both.
