What kind of backward logic is that?

But don’t tell the homer crowd. Evidence deflates their high expectations for this low-talent ball club.

Another year’s distance from Tommy John surgery bodes well for 2014. (I liked the Correia signing a year ago too).

I agree with you on Kubel. If Gardenhire is OK with platooning, batting Kubel against righties and Willingham against lefties, might work well in the DH slot.

Catching? Give the kids (Pinto, Herrmann, and Fryer) a chance. Use Mauer and Steinbach as mentors. Rotate the three between MLB and Rochester. Pinto has already shown a lot, and Fryer has some solid potential. A couple of young catchers were DFAd today (Valle and Skipworth). Adding them on minor-league contracts would provide some solid depth.

The large-expenditure free-agent signings for this off-season are probably finished for the Twins. Time to focus on smaller, value moves (Yoon, Johan).

Albers will be on the 25 man much less the 40? what team do they have hughes with? what did they have for last years twins bullpen? and aaron, 5 million is the floor for 180-200 innings at 4.20 ERA to protect any AAA possibitiies.
