Anyway, I had no idea you even wrote about the Twins or whatever but you seem nice. Who is John Sharkman, anyway? The search did not lead me to anything here.

Proud of you efforts to lose weight and be more healthy. Even more so of your openness to share very personal information. I’m sure there are some of your readers who you have motivated to reassess their own life. As a guy in my fifties who is carrying some extra weight, let me just chime in that it gets more important as we age. Every moving part (knees, ankles, etc) wears out quicker on people who are obese.

Good luck as you continue to enjoy your thirties.

Thank you for everything you do, and congratulations on your recent transformation. Just please don’t let it get in the way of entertaining shmucks like me on a weekly basis.

Love your podcasts and your story. You are a great writer with an inspiring story. Good on you and thanks for always having a thoughtful, realistic take on the Twins and on life. The 30′s are way better than the 20′s.

You are definitely an inspiration to get out there and just enjoy life for what it is. I hope you have a fantastic birthday – I’ll probably never forget it’s yours as it’s mine as well, and may your age 31 season be even better than your last.

I really appreciate that you spoke your truth. You shined a bright light on how painful it is to be isolated from others and to feel “less than” your fellow humans. The reasons we wind up isolated are myriad. It was really helpful to me today to hear some honest and unencumbered truth. I generally am checking in on your blog for your great insights into the Twins organization as well as the wise manner in which you blend sabremetrics, traditional scouting inputs, roster politics, and common sense. I am less inclined to follow G & Geek or other content. Thank you for generous sharing of your life experience. I wish you a very Happy Birthday!
