Thanks for the podcast, it was a good listen. Glad to see that not everyone is overreacting that the 2nd pick HAS to be a pitcher b/c we have a pitching deficiency in our organization right now. It may be a less than 50% chance that Buxton ever becomes even a serviceable major leaguer (just based on the uncertainty of the draft), but if you have a chance at the consensus best position player in the draft, the risk of passing it up is every bit as much as the risk of taking him.
Just think about if this guy turns out to be the next Justin Upton or Mike Trout in 3 or 4 years, and what emotions (jealousy?) that will evoke when you turn on MLB Network and see him in the highlights on a regular basis.
