“Gleeman and The Geek” #25: AL Central and Cleavage

This week's episode of "Gleeman and The Geek" was recorded at the Wild Boar in Hopkins and my beer choice was Leinenkugel Honey Weiss. Topics included Kevin Slowey returning to the AL Central, Prince Fielder signing with the Tigers, how we react to a drunk woman showing us her bra in the middle of the show, Justin Morneau's health status, what to expect from the Tigers, White Sox, Indians, and Royals, and why re-signing Matt Capps keeps looking worse.

  1. Dude. Honey Weiss is for girls. And by “girls” I do not meaning cool, interesting girls. I mean stupid, annoying, boring-but-conceited girls that don’t know how to drink. I’m just trying to help you out here.

  3. Anybody else concerned that Phil Mackey is gonna hurt himself carrying all that water for the Twins? Never met the man but he looks like a little guy.

  4. I like how a woman in a bar flashes you, and first you guys hardly react, then manage to get rid of her in about 10 seconds. Does this happen a lot to you blogging superstars, or what?

  6. Dude, Summer Shandy is for girls, not Honey Weiss. I do hate that every bar assumes I want a lemon in my Honey Weiss though, they need to stop that.

  7. A question for next week: If the deal could be worked out, would it make sense for the Twins to try to trade for Koji Uehara? He is little more expensive than the Twins are looking for but only by $1-1.5 million. Going slightly over budget for a pitcher that could greatly solidify the bullpen. The biggest change in his statistics when he moved to Arlington was an increase in home runs. Especially if the Twins outfield defense improves this year, a pitcher with his skill set could really succeed in Target Field.

  8. Have at it, ladies! 😉

Especially for a guy who got audibly gleeful when gifted a bottle of tasty scotch… *shakes head*

(The twitter link misses the mark – I couldn’t care less who brews a beer if it meets a particular state of beer-want and think most craft brewers [and the average fan-boy thereof] have spent WAY too much time/energy over the past three years trying to out dick-swing one another with buckets of hops as their proxy-phallus of choice.)

Summer Shandy, Berry Weiss, etc. are an atrocity unworthy of the name “beer”.

Gleeman, this podcast had tons of actual laugh-out-loud moments, again. You’re kind of a comedy genius-in-the-making.
